Many things have changed in my life of late. We lost a dearly loved family pet. My husband changed jobs. My oldest is now moving back to our home state of MN. I started a new store The Pumpkin River Store without much success online. It has been a long year but there are always bright spots in which to reflect on. Life if given the chance will always give us happy moments. In all of the changes we have many more happy moments. My grandson never ceases to make a bad day good. His wit and smile melt all the grey days. Friends inviting us on outings and enjoying time with them often brings in much joy. And, an addition has been made to our small town and ice cream shop which we have been needing for a long time it is fitted with comfortable couches and chairs, along with high tables and chairs in the style of old vintage style soda shops. It surely brings back some memories of childhood days. Such as has been happening in our little small town. I hope you stop by again lets share a cup of tea and chat awhile until then. Good day and sweet night.

The radio played Christmas music and I wondered how fast things have changed. My favorite song has always been Silver bells the song always reminded me of the colored lights that my small town use to string across main street. As a child those light meant that Christmas was just around the corner and Santa was coming to town. I miss those colored Christmas lights snow flakes swirling down to gently land on drifts millions of them and no two exactly alike. Those flakes made our small town look like a snow globe wonderfully decked out in holiday style just like the words of that song. The only thing we missed were one horse sleighs but we didn't notice we were kids then and the magic still filled the air. Awe Christmas what would it be without those beautiful lights.

Hi Friends.
There have been many sad things happening in our family through out this year. Many of my family have been diagnosed with Cancer, some have had surgery and others have had broken bones. We have over come many obstacles this year through the grace of God. So on to new beginnings.
Being part of a small town we all pull together and move forward. My husband has a new job and better pay. I have been crocheting and crafting to keep my mind off of the sad things which have been very productive. Here is where I shine to really let sadness not affect you I refocused my energy to create beauty. Beauty to over take darkness smile when sad. Look to God for comfort after all his light shines on all of us everyday.
Winter is a time of rest and reflection and a great time for families to bond this is all that drives darkness away. Enjoy the Holiday season laugh loud, love great, live like never before you never know when your time on earth will end or one of your family members.

champaign and Roses

This is the champaign and roses soap I had been planning to make soon I will take the time to attach the steps it took to make this beautiful soap. Sorry I will not be able to share the recipe at this time but you will have an idea of how I added the heart.

Soon the flurry of garden activity will take over the blog while soap will be resting on the shelves waiting for it's turn. As time goes on many changes will be occurring within the blog it self. I hope to present a more teaching blog.

The Harvest

Hi Everyone!

I just picked these radishes today from my garden. These radishes are the best crop I have had. The weather here has been rainy and wet most days and some of the garden is doing well, while other parts are lagging behind. In spite of the weather God did provide a good harvest of radishes and they will be past along to the food shelf here in town. Bye for now and keep smiling.
